Flyer Distribution
Posting of literature, flyers, brochures, posters, signs, announcements, coupons, and/or advertisements (collectively, “Communications”) by non-Tonganoxie USD 464 groups or organizations must be approved by the Superintendent or their designee. Only non-profit organizations and groups will be considered for approval. Groups may be requested to submit documentation verifying non-profit status.
In order to be approved for posting, the activity promoted by the Communication must provide a valuable service or benefit to the students or school community, such as before- or after-school care, educational opportunities, and/or the promotion of health and fitness, cultural arts, and academics consistent with the mission and curriculum of the Tonganoxie USD 464 School District. The sponsoring group must submit the Communication to the district communications department for approval. If the Communication is approved, the Communication will be posted on the district’s Community Programs webpage. The Tonganoxie School District will not make or deliver copies or email materials to students on behalf of any outside agencies unless the program or event is being officially sponsored by the district or held in conjunction with a community partner.
Organizations that operate strictly for profit will not be permitted to post Communications. Should such an activity be considered a valuable service or benefit to the students or school community, special permission may be granted by the Superintendent or their designee.
Any questions related to these procedures should be directed to the District’s public information officer, Becky Nasalroad.
