all community Leighty Grant recipients stand together on tiered wooden stairs

Last month, the First State Bank Trust Department awarded Tonganoxie-area organizations more than $70,000 in Leighty Grants. Local residents Pete and Margaret Leighty created a charitable trust before their deaths that provides funds to organizations whose programs and projects benefit our community. USD 464 received fifteen grants totalling nearly $26,000 that will support our students in various ways. We are so grateful for the Leightys and their legacy of giving!
