Connor Faulkner stands in between Kelly Hoopes and Cody Witte, holding his certificate

Congratulations to our very own Mr. Connor Faulkner! Mr. Faulkner has been nominated as USD 464's Horizon Award nominee at the secondary level. The Kansas Horizon Award Program is facilitated by the Kansas State Department of Education and recognizes representatives of excellent teaching in the elementary and secondary classrooms of the state. The nominee must be a full-time teacher in their second year of teaching and perform in a way that distinguishes them from other novice teachers.

Mr. Faulkner will move on to the regional competition, where KSDE will select the Horizon Award Winners. The Horizon Award Winners will be recognized at the Kansas Exemplary Educators Network conference and luncheon in Topeka in February. Congratulations, Mr. Faulkner!
