THS Chieftain Singers Kyndal Romero, Tyler Baldwin, and Maddie Funk were selected to study and perform with the KU Rock Chalk Singers last semester. The KU Rock Chalk Singers is a unique, intergenerational ensemble comprised of secondary school students, grades 8-12, and KU senior music majors preparing for careers in music education. The purpose of the ensemble is for secondary school students and future music teachers to learn from one another as they study and rehearse a varied repertoire of choral music together.
The semester culminated in a concert at Swarthout Hall on December 6, 2022.
