Sixth grade science students have spent a lot of time learning about speed and acceleration, including how to calculate both with precision. They recently put their knowledge to the test with their final project: design and build a plastic bottle rocket and see who could get theirs to fly the highest. The results were impressive, with several rockets soaring over 100 feet into the air!
The students had a fun day outside launching their creations, combining hands-on learning with a bit of friendly competition. With this successful project behind them, theyāre now setting their sights on the study of the solar system!
