Our 7th grade boys basketball team had an impressive showing on Thursday night at home against Paola. The evening kicked off with the B Team securing a solid 21-13 victory. The guards maintained their strong performance, but the most notable improvement came from the post players. Each of the four players demonstrated significant progress, transforming into key threats on the court. Shoutout to Asher Hoff, Ryder Smart, Tru Masterson, and Eastin Holland for their hard work and dedicationākeep pushing yourselves and growing in the game!
The A Team also had a successful night, despite missing a starter. They clinched a 34-26 win, holding a double-digit lead for much of the second half. Mykel Marks continued to shine, dominating the boards and being a formidable offensive force in the post. Excellent job, Mykel! Coach Smith is doing an outstanding job developing the team's post players.
Meanwhile, the 8th grade team faced off in Paola, with mixed results. The B Team triumphed 33-12, while the A Team fell 40-29. Hunter McGuire stood out, delivering strong performances in both the A and B games. Great work, Hunter!
Both teams will return to action on Tuesday against Eudora. Please come out and support!
