The 7th Grade A-Team had an exciting opportunity to challenge ourselves on Saturday at the Bonner Springs A-Team Tournament. Our day began with a tough matchup against Lexington Trails, a strong and disciplined team. Despite our best efforts, we struggled against their press and their hot shooting, resulting in a 30-point loss.
We played much better in our next game against Pioneer Ridge, coming out more focused and aggressive, showing significant improvement, and winning the game by 8 points. It was encouraging to see the team bounce back from a difficult loss and play a solid game.
That said, there’s still work to do. Breaking the press and improving our rebounding remain key areas of focus as we look to finish the season strong.
We’re back in action on Tuesday when we play Baldwin at home. Thank you for coming to the games and supporting these great kids!
