7th Grade Opens Argumentative Writing Unit with Speed Debating

Seventh grade students in Mrs. Moore's language arts class began their argumentative writing unit this week with Speed Debating! The setup is similar to Speed Dating; however, instead of getting to know each other, the students debate various topics. Some of the topics included changing the driving age, whether money or happiness is more important, the pros and cons of technology, the benefits of homework, and the possibility of intelligent life on other planets. #tongienation
